Workstation Pte Ltd snags Flexible Workspace Initiative of the Year - Singapore award

Its initiative redefined the work-and-commute landscape by making it more accessible.

Workstation Pte Ltd’s innovation Staytion Spaces has been named the winner of the Flexible Workspace Initiative of the Year - Singapore award at the SBR National Business Awards for expanding workers’ options on working-near-home (WNH).

In Singapore, 85% of co-working centres are located in the Central Business District, meaning hybrid workers, especially those living in multi-generational households, who can’t work at home will have to endure a long commute to the CBD area just to do their job, wasting valuable time taking the bus or riding the train.

Recognising this issue, Workstation Pte Ltd launched the 30-seater Staytion Spaces in October 2022, making it the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The co-working facilities are thoughtfully located at train stations throughout Singapore, which substantially decreases carbon footprints, the daily commute of workers, and work fatigue.

Each working space is strategically designed and equipped with the essentials, such as reliable Wi-Fi, charging ports, a printer, and even a cafe. Staytion Spaces boasts spacious and flexible meeting rooms that can accommodate around eight to 20 individuals. These versatile meeting rooms are ideal for hosting large meetings, conducting classes, and even facilitating team activities.

Staytion Spaces currently partners with more than 285 space outlets in its marketplace, with 150 in Singapore, 100 in Malaysia, and 15 in Thailand. The company is also constantly working towards growth in the Asia Pacific region and is poised to host about 2,000 space partners by the end of the year. functions as a comprehensive marketplace, connecting co-working space providers throughout APAC with businesses and individuals in search of flexible workspaces.

By utilising, Staytion intends to facilitate the smooth expansion of its services throughout the region, providing co-working choices that adhere to its high standards of quality, convenience, and community. Our goal is to provide a platform for these spaces to reach a wider audience, enhance occupancy rates, and flourish in a competitive market.

Users can enjoy the convenience of working, meeting, dining, and shopping all in one place whilst still having productive work lifestyles. Staytion Spaces is also highly scalable and can be applied to any transport node due to its compact design.

Returning users will also benefit from Staytion Spaces’ rewards system, as they have worked with merchant partners such as TrustBank, Savills, NTUC Club, SAFRA, GetGo, and Wink+ to provide a holistic life-work balance and ensure that Staytion drives continual usage and customer engagement.

Since its inception, Staytion Spaces has reached over 10,651 total registered users with the help of Staytion’s global network of over 100 space partners across 258 locations in Singapore, Malaysia & Thailand.

The goal of Staytion Spaces is straightforward: to cater to the changing needs of a hybrid workforce and deliver exceptional service, enabling customers to work on the go with confidence. Its win in the recent SBR National Business Awards represents yet another milestone affirming that the company is moving in the right direction.
